Ms. Peslak was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1985. In 1991 Ms. Peslak was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and in 1988 she was admitted to the United States Tax Court. Ms. Peslak has extensive experience in Appellate Practice with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Honorable David S. Baime, J.A.D., and several prestigious Newark, New Jersey law firms. Her early experience at one of these prestigious law firms also included real estate transactional practice with emphasis in tax and corporate litigation. Ms. Peslak then gained extensive experience in complex litigation matters, including environmental coverage defense work. Of particular distinction is her involvement in the National Amicus Curiae Initiative on behalf of a major casualty insurer regarding the insurance policy “Drafting History” and “Regulatory Estoppel” issues that have significantly impacted insurance coverage litigation.

While at Keenan & Doris, Ms. Peslak has concentrated her practice in civil defense litigation, primarily involving public entity defense. Representative clients include school boards, school officials, police departments, first responders, municipalities, and municipal public officials. Representative claims include civil rights claims, employment claims, construction liability, premises liability, and negligence claims in both State and Federal Courts.

Ms. Peslak graduated Seton Hall Law School in 1985 and Rutgers, the State University, Cum Laude in 1982.
